WHy "61"

About Us

Expedition 61 was born out of a dream to marry discipleship and a love for creation. Our vision is to empower people in their God-given identity and provide excellent training in outdoor sports and recreation. We will do this through experiential education, mentoring, and leadership training, primarily in trip/expedition settings.

We have been running a powerful sailing and water-walking curriculum for the last 15 years in Florida and the Caribbean. We activate world-changers. 

Our goal is to expand into other areas of focus, including mountain travel, rock climbing, backcountry camping, wilderness living skills and fly-fishing.

Expedition 61 is named for Isaiah 61 where we are called forth in our purpose to declare the year of the Lord’s favor, and the Good News of Salvation.
