ANNOUNCING THE 2nd ANNUAL ABIDE CONFERENCE!

July 6th-8th 2018 - WHEATON, IL

“Abide in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;

for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

About the Conference (2018):

Join us Friday, July 6th to Sunday, July 9th for experiential training, worship, and ministry, focusing on what it means to abide in Christ, standing firm in our God-authored identity and adopting a Kingdom mindset within a culture of love and honor.  This conference is offered through Expedition 61, an organization promoting discipleship training and spiritual formation in a variety of settings.  Benjamin Dominguez is a native of DuPage County and founder of Expedition 61 and its partner nonprofit Arise Today. Benjamin offers similar conferences on the high seas as he captains sailing trips called “ARRR U Prepared.. to Walk on Water”

In the sessions, you will grow in the awareness of the anointing you carry. You will explore Scriptural truth that deactivates lies we have believed about healing, miracles and stepping out of the "boat". You’ll also learn new ways to cultivate and maintain an atmosphere conducive to healing and miracles in your personal lives, churches, or ministries.

The Abide evening sessions will include worship, teaching, and ministry and are open to the public.

Conference Speakers

Conference Speakers

Chuck Parry:  Bethel Church, redding CALIFORNIA

It is a privilege to have Chuck Parry as a Speaker this year again.  He teaches at Bethel church as well as across the globe, empowering people to step into the freedom they’ve been given as sons and daughters of the King of Kings.  He is an anointed healer and gifted teacher.  He demonstrates a grace-filled, honoring, and whimsical approach to Kingdom building.  He is fully focused on the co-mission of building the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven, and he has learned how to walk with and abide in Christ as a daily lifestyle.  Last summer, Chuck joined the Expedition 61 team on his second  ARRR U Prepared sailing trip and he is looking forward to joining this adventure again this year.

Matthew Dominguez: "Spending a week on the boat with Chuck was like I literally walked into the pages of the Gospels or the book of Acts.  So much came alive through Scripture and in me.  Truth destroyed lies and fears; hope crushed confusion and despair.  I was not only educated and inspired as a veteran high school Bible teacher, I was personally filled top-full with hope and joy.  Upon coming to port, I was much more equipped for my continuing adventures with Christ.”

Matthew Dominguez:

Bible and English Faculty, Wheaton Academy

Matthew Dominguez is an educational trainer, speaker, and teacher and has studied at Houghton College in New York, Keble College in Oxford, and received his Masters from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, he is a philosophy, literature, and discipleship teacher and the adventure club director at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, Illinois. With over twenty-five years of teaching experience, he is passionate about the exciting journey of equipping students and leaders to make their faith their own by knowing not only what they believe but why they believe it. Furthermore, he loves stories and utilizes great literature to unlock the life transforming power of language and story. He wants to help people see that all great stories, all great authors, all great literature, poems, and films point us to the amazing True Story that the Author is writing—the one beginning in Genesis, ignited at Pentecost, and continuing to unfold today. He desires to inspire leaders and students to connect with their essential place in the adventurous epic of building Christ’s Kingdom as authentic disciples in the exciting and engaging “True Myth” of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

At his center Matthew has found his True Identity and sustaining Joy as a child of the King of the Universe, the King of Kings. From that foundation he is growing in becoming the husband, father, friend, and artist that God has called him to be. It is his deep joy to be on this grand adventure of Kingdom building and loving others with his wife Jennifer and four children, Anna, Elijah, Olivia, and Ivy
