            The Mission of Expedition 61 is to build a crew who will collaboratively create and sustain a global standard and model for authentic discipleship, Kingdom-oriented outdoor leadership, and Christ-centered worldview.  The Expedition 61 sailing conference Arrr U Prepared to Walk on Water focuses on building disciples and has a missional heart on which Christ followers can learn about what it means to live as an integral part of the family of Jesus Christ. Our curriculum is experiential and covers key Biblical Truths such as our identities as Sons and Daughters of the King, living out the authority we’ve been given in Christ by His Holy Spirit (e.g. walking on water, healing the sick, raising the dead, setting the prisoners and captives free) and all while students learn to sail! In recent years, we have primarily been sailing in the Leeward Islands (St. Martin, St. Bart’s, Anguilla, St. John’s, Antigua, St. Kitts, British Virgin Islands), and making efforts to connect with and minister to the local communities where we set sail. In 2024 we will will be expanding our Horizons to La Paz Mexico .

A key component to this trip is that we are inviting Christ Followers who are looking to get “On the Water with Jesus” as followers, disciples to live from their Identity not for it; this trip is designed to help these committed Princes and Princesses work on growing already strong faith in order to think and behave that even in the Tempest be willing to “get out of the boat and walk on water!”  This adventure Conference is meant to be a training ground not necessarily a conversion/reborn or decision-making experience; although many of us will re-commit or make new decisions to further our relationship with our King, or understand on a deeper level what the journey of conversion, reborn really means.

The Quatrefoil Focus of “Arrr you Prepared to Walk on Water”: The Compass

o   NORTH #1: Love and Honor! 

•   The most excellent Way 1 Corinthians 12 & 13. 

•   Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”

•  Always be prepared to give an answer of the hope that you have but do this with gentleness and respect (meekness and honor)! 1 Peter 3:15

•  "Preach the Gospel (of the Kingdom) at all times; only use words when needed. " - Francis

o   SOUTH #2: Anchored Identity with Faith to Walk on Water! Abide

•   Living in one’s Kingdom identity as a Child of the King, living from our True Self not our shadow self. Romans 5,6,7,8…

•   “May you be covered in the dust of the Rabbi” True Discipleship. Go make more Disciples! You will do greater things then these. John 14:12-14, 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

•   The Gospel is a Gospel of Power 1TH 1:4-5 For we know, brothers and sister loved by God that he has chosen you, Because our gospel came to you not simple with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction

• Renewal of our minds and do not be conformed to this world , but be transformed (transfigured) by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2)

o   EAST #3: Kingdom Community and Culture! Supernatural life style

•  The King’s way to live is the BEST way to live.  All sin is shadow of the good.  All sin is warped Good. James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

•  Thy Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven!

•  God is good Always!

o   WEST #4: Creation Care and Adventure!

•  Stewardship and Sustainability! Genesis 1:31

•  Preach the Gospel to all of Creation Mark 16:15

• The whole Creation waits with earnest expectation of the Sons of God to Awaken. Romans 8:19

This Conference is designed to focus on discipleship training and mentoring for living in obedience and submission to authority (a Captain) while also living in freedom using judgment and wisdom through taking personal responsibility for dialing living and adventure skills.  Crew-members will respect everybody with dignity and care.  Crew-members be willing to live out Christ-centered servant leadership and be ready to displayed these virtues in their daily lives so that in the pressure cooker of a 52’ Catamaran and nine full days of epic travel each crew member will not dissipate and be de-motivated but thrive, grow, and be inspired.
